Wakefield Trinity
Working alongside the club, we came up with a comic book style theme that would give a bit more of a unique approach compared to that of other clubs competing in rugby league’s Super League.
This comic book style approach had the added advantage of appealing to a younger audience, engaging the club with their next generation of fans whilst being eye catching and and obvious difference to the norm for the more traditional fan.
We also helped to devise matchday themes or hashtags to help the club market each game and communicate special initiatives they had on for that particular game.
We were proud to be approached by Wakefield Trinity, a proud traditional rugby league club with almost 150 years of sporting heritage.
The sporting world is big business these days, and while rugby league may not have the same level of finances as football in this country, there’s a massive committed following.
Every sporting club now utilises social media to engage with both existing fans and a potential new audience. So how do you stand out amongst a host of other clubs?
Working with the Wakefield Trinity marketing team we devised a mixture of editable templates to enable them to edit scores on matchday and announcements and so on, alongside Facebook cover images and social media tiles suitable for Instagram and Twitter to announce upcoming games.
Templates were devised using both home and away colours to enable the club to stick to a theme revolving around each match day.
Communicating your message effectively through engaging copy that speaks to your target market is just as important as the design work. The aim of these flyers was to effectively engage fans and gain sales.
Both of these flyer designs resulted in a dramatic increase in sales.
